The Next Evolution in Paint Coatings
Let’s cut to the chase. If you own a detailing shop or body shop anywhere in the Denver metro — Aurora, Thornton, Westminster, Broomfield, Littleton, Parker, Northglenn, Arvada, Lakewood, Centennial, you name it — you already know the ceramic coating game has turned into a race to the bottom.
Every shop within a 40-mile radius of downtown Denver pitches the same coating, so every customer conversation eventually boils down to “how much?”
Nobody wins that race. Not you, not your margins, not your reputation.
This Isn’t Another Ceramic Coating
If you’re done competing on price alone, Icon Rocklear gives you another way to play the game. We’re building out our Certified Installer Network across the Denver metro and all of Adams County, and we’re looking for established shops that want to offer customers something they genuinely haven’t seen before.
Icon Rocklear is a hybrid resin-based Paint Protection Coating — not liquid PPF, not your run-of-the-mill ceramic. Here’s what separates it from the pack:
- Up to 2.5 mils of coating thickness — roughly 35x thicker and 75x stronger than a standard ceramic coating
- I.C.E. Technology (Interlocking Coating Reinforcement) that builds a tougher, longer-lasting protective shell
- It’s repairable — surface scratches can often get fixed without stripping the whole coating and starting over
That repairability piece matters more than people give it credit for. Instead of telling a customer their paint will stay flawless forever (it won’t — nothing does), you get to have an honest conversation: protect it, drive it, enjoy it, and if something happens, we can fix it without a full redo.
Stand Out With A Superior Product
Denver Metro Weather Doesn't Play Nice
Sure – there are more sunny days in Metro Denver than in San Diego every year. However, when the hostile weather hits – it doesn’t play around. Vehicles around here take a beating. High-altitude UV, road salt and de-icing chemicals every winter, gravel kicked up on I-70 and I-25, and temperature swings that can hit 40 degrees in a single day — paint protection isn’t a luxury for Denver metro drivers, it’s a necessity.
Whether your customers commute through Commerce City and Brighton, haul gear through Thornton and Northglenn, or head up into the mountains most weekends, they need protection that can handle real-world Colorado conditions. Icon Rocklear was built for exactly that.
Where Icon Rocklear Sits in the Market
Customers have traditionally had two options: ceramic coating or Paint Protection Film. Ceramic is budget-friendly but thin. PPF holds up but costs a lot. A wide gap exists between those two options, and that’s exactly where Icon Rocklear lives.
For your shop, that gap is an opportunity. Recommend PPF for high-impact zones like the front bumper and hood, and Icon Rocklear for the rest of the vehicle. Or sell it as a standalone premium option for customers who want more than ceramic can deliver but aren’t ready to commit to full-body film.
Either way, you’re building a protection plan around how your customer actually drives their vehicle — not cramming them into a package that doesn’t fit.
Scratches Can Be Repaired
ICON ROCKLEAR’s paint protection coating can achieve a thickness of 2.5 mils once applied—making it up to 35 times thicker than even the highest-quality ceramic coatings.
Even more remarkable, it’s can achieve a strength 75 times greater than traditional ceramic coatings, delivering unmatched durability and protection.
If the coating gets scratched or damaged, you can fix it in a matter of minutes in most cases. This increases customer satisfaction and improves your positive online reviews.
What This Means for Your Business
Adding Icon Rocklear isn’t just about having another product on the shelf. It’s about having something your competitors probably don’t. When a customer walks in and you introduce a protection system they’ve never heard of, the dynamic shifts. You’re not defending your price—you’re educating them on a better option.
That’s a much better place to be.
Here’s what it can open up for your shop:
- Higher-ticket services positioned above standard ceramic packages
Better differentiation beyond price comparisons - Improved conversions for customers sitting on the fence between ceramic and PPF
- Customer retention through a repairable system that keeps them coming back
- Referrals from customers who got something noticeably different from what their friends have
